Over the past two months, several teams from different countries have confirmed their participation in the Tallinn Cup 2020 youth football tournament! To the teams we have already announced from Poland, Belarus, Russia, Estonia, Cyprus, new guests from Finland and China have been added!!
Yes, a team from the Middle Kingdom Beijing Dongcheng has confirmed participation in the category B14. The Beijing team will come for almost a week with a large delegation and, in addition to the tournament, will hold several friendly matches and sightseeing trips in Tallinn!
Whether there were ever teams from China at youth competitions in Estonia, we do not know, but we think that we were the first who cut through the window to Europe for teams from the East!
Several clubs from Finland will come to our tournament next summer - this LAUTP from Lappeenranta will take part in categories B14 and B13 by three teams. This is the FC Siili team from Siilinjarve in the B13 category, as well as the team that took part last year - Kumu JT from Kuusankoski in the B12 category.
In December, the president of the Cyprus club Efthymiades Academy, Costas Efthimiades, came with a certain desire to inspect and check everything in Tallinn! It seemed to us that we passed the test for a good point!! After visiting hotels, stadiums, the Old City, Costas was pleased and promised to bring another team born in 2007.
Regarding the closest possible confirmations for the Tallinn Cup 2020 tournament, we can say that the confirmation is very close from a couple of Swedish clubs!
Hammarby IF born 2006 almost agreed to our terms, but still chose a different tournament. We are awaiting a response from Dynamo Kyiv, that the two teams we have invited and we hope for their positive response. Negotiations are underway with the Italian club, which may bring two teams in the category of 2008 and 2009 born. And the Georgian Academy of Football and the Ukrainian club born in 2010 are close to confirmation.
We invite teams of any level to come to our football tournament for children next summer! It will be very cool!
