Who may participate

Participation in the Tallinn Cup football tournament is allowed only for clubs and sports schools recognized by the football federations of the participating countries.

The Tallinn Cup football festival begins with the group stage, followed by knockout rounds in a tournament system.

The group stage matches take place from Thursday to Saturday, after which the final matches in both categories will be held on Saturday evening. Each team is guaranteed at least 6 matches during the tournament.

Each team will play at least 6 matches and definitely hits the stage of the playoffs.

Number of players per team

There is a limit to the number of players in each team of 20 players in the youth football tournament Tallinn Cup. There is no limit to the number of players in a single match. There is no limit to the number of substitutions during a single match. 

Allowed to do non stopped the game substitutions but no more than 5 substitutions on the playing field simultaneously in category 11-side and 3 in other categories. Allowed back substitutions. 

All players must be able to show proof of age and identity. We recommend that all players use the same shirt number throughout the tournament.

One player may only play for one team.

Special permissions

In the category with 11 players on the field, two older players can be used automatically. Registered older players cannot be replaced by new older players during the tournament.

In the girls' category with 11 players on the field, three older players can be used. In the girls' category with 7 players on the field, two older players can be used in one match, who are older than 1 year.

Special permits can be requested from the tournament organizers. The granting of special permits to international teams depends on the rules of the international team's domestic championships in the youth age groups.

For youth teams participating in the Estonian Football Federation's youth championships, it is allowed to use two older players in the Tallinn Cup in age categories (B12, B11, B10, B9) who were born after August 1st of the previous year.

Girls are allowed to participate in boys' age categories. Boys are not allowed to participate in girls' age categories.

In the Tallinn Cup, a player is allowed to participate in only one team throughout the tournament.

The tournament starts

  • June 25 – Arrival and team registration
    June 26 – Group stage matches and official tournament opening ceremony
    June 27 – Semifinals, disco, and coaches' evening
    June 28 – Play-offs, final matches, and official tournament closing ceremony
    June 29 – Departure of tournament participants

Accommodation types

Tallinn Cup offers four accommodation categories:

A) Accommodation in the school
At least one and up to five adults can stay in the school with their team, using their own bedding. All individuals staying in the school must pay a fee that includes accommodation from July 25 to 29, meals during this period, and a Tallinn Cup wristband.
IMPORTANT: If you arrive earlier or leave later, please inform the tournament organizers. An extra night in the school costs 20 € per person per night. School accommodation is available for up to 50 teams.

B) Accommodation in a hostel
Modern and comfortable hostel in Tallinn, with accommodation in 2–4 bed rooms. Those staying at the hostel must pay a fee that includes accommodation from June 25 to 29, meals from June 25 dinner to June 29 lunch, and a Tallinn Cup wristband.
IMPORTANT: If you arrive before or leave after the official tournament dates, please inform the organizers in advance. An extra night with breakfast costs up to 35 €. Hostel accommodation is available for up to 10 teams.

C) Accommodation in hotels
Tallinn Cup offers accommodation in 3* to 4* hotels. The price includes breakfast and a Tallinn Cup wristband. If desired, you can also order vouchers for lunch and dinner at the hotels, match stadiums, and schools where food will be provided during the tournament.

D) Independent accommodation or participation without accommodation
Teams who prefer independent accommodation or do not need accommodation pay the participation fee and receive a Tallinn Cup wristband. The wristband costs 38 € per person.

Registration Fee

All teams participating in the tournament are required to pay the registration fee. The registration fee includes:

Participation in the tournament
Certificates for all participants

Extra night

Please contact the tournament organizers if you arrive in Tallinn before the tournament starts or leave a day later after the tournament ends.

For the price of an extra night, please contact the organizers.

An extra night may require a change of accommodation.

Accommodation in school

We reserve the right during the tournament to move a team from one school to another school only for reasons of more comfortable accommodation.

The teams who choose the school accommodation, the team leader indicated in the Participants List are responsible for the behavior of their team at school. Smoking and drinking of alcoholic beverages is strictly prohibited on school property.

The team will be taken a deposit of 70 euros which is refundable upon departure of the team from the school in the absence of damage.

To avoid misunderstandings, do not leave money and valuables in the classroom. All football clubs are required to comply with the rules of being in the school during the football tournaments Tallinn Cup!

Important dates

  • September 1st – open registration teams
  • January 1st – deadline for payment of the discount Registration Fee or 20% of Accommodation Fee for the non-local teams
  • May 1st - deadline for payment of Registration Fee and advance payment of 50% of the Accommodation Fee. The registration is completed
  • June 15th – deadline for payment of the remaining part of the Accommodation Fee
  • June 24-25th – arrival of teams and registration by place of residence

Leaders Card

Each team receives two Leaders Cards, which grant access to the coaches' dinner and the Sportbar at the stadium.
The Coaches' Evening will take place on June 27, where there will be an opportunity to enjoy leisure time, socialize with the tournament organizers, and interact with coaches from other clubs. The tournament organizers have created a pleasant atmosphere with good music and dinner.

Insurance. Medical support.

All players and staff participating in the football tournament must have medical and property insurance.
The organizers of the Tallinn Cup are not responsible for any medical incidents or property damage that may occur during the tournament.
First aid is provided next to the playing fields in case of injuries during matches.

Prizes

Every participant in the tournament will receive a diploma. Teams finishing in the top 3 will be awarded medals and trophies. Special awards will be given to the best players.

Cancellation of participation. Force majeure

If the tournament cannot take place or is postponed due to events beyond the organizers' control (force majeure) or events not related to the organizers' intent or gross negligence, the tournament organizers are not responsible for any damages or costs incurred by the delegations (e.g., transportation and accommodation costs, additional services, financial costs, etc.).

Under these circumstances, the tournament organizers reserve the right either to retain all paid amounts for registration and accommodation and use them for covering the costs of future tournaments or to reimburse the delegations after deducting the expenses related to organizing the tournament, which cannot be recovered from third parties.

Tallinn Cup is not responsible for any injuries or financial losses caused by war, war-like situations, civil unrest, interference from authorities, strikes, lockouts, blockades, or similar events.

Cancellation of participation

  • the Registration Fee or 20% of the Accommodation Fee is not refunded if a team cancels its participation.
  • 50% of the Accommodation Fee will be lost by a team in the case of cancellation after May 1st.
  • If a team cancels its participation later than 1 week before the tournament – it will lose 100% of the funds of the Accommodation Fee.

Arrival and departure

In the registration form, the team must indicate if they need assistance with transportation upon arrival and departure from the tournament.

Information about the team's transportation needs must reach the tournament organizers no later than June 15th. Any changes regarding the team's arrival to or departure from the tournament must be coordinated with the tournament organizers.

Visas. Consent to information

We help members who come to us from abroad and who need visas to stay in Estonia. We send you an invitation based on the following data:

  • The city in whose Consulate documents will be submit
  • A completed application form
  • A list of all delegations in Latin with the date of birth, passport number, its validity period and status of the person specified in the list (eg. Player, coach, doctor, parent)
  • The Registration Fee must be paid

With our invitation you go to the Estonian Consulate which at our request will be issued to you free visas for participants.

The registered teams agree that the organizers have the right to make e-mail and sms mailings in the future with the offer to take part in the tournament or with other news from the tournament. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Tours

Our main objective is to transform a standard tournament into a colorful children's event, where in addition to football, we offer you plenty of entertainment for children and adults.

You can pre-order a city tour visiting the most interesting places for children.

During the tournament, find the guide will be too difficult.

Tournament Opening Ceremony

The tournament opening ceremony and festive parade will take place on the first day of competition.

Teams participating in the opening must wear uniforms with their club’s logo, carry flags with their club’s symbols, and present themselves in a representative manner to honor their club.

The opening ceremony will be held at Sportland Arena in Tallinn (Jalgpalli Street 21).

Participation and payment

The team registration is considered official from the day the registration fee is received. The registration fee must be paid within 30 days after submitting the registration request on the tournament website.

The registration fee and participation fee must be paid by the specified deadline, but no later than indicated in the tournament's payment rules.
