Unfortunately for us and many kids, who were prepared to participate in the upcoming tournament, Tallinn Cup, due to Corona Virus pandemic, this summer the tournament cannot take place. After consulting with government, football teams and agencies we made an informed decision to cancel the tournament this year, to avoid the risk, that some teams will have a problem with crossing a border, that we will be forced to spend a football holiday Tallinn Cup with restrictions or in a truncated format or finally, because of the possible resumption of quarantine.
A few years of hard work creating friendly connections with many partners in different countries bore fruit - In 2020, a huge influx of new participants from different continents of the planet was expected. Clubs from Spain, France, Sweden, Cyprus, Poland, Nigeria, China, Kazakhstan, Russia and other countries accepted our invitations to participate in 2020. Having tucked up our sleeves, we will again carry out this work to create an international football festival in Estonia.
We still hoped that the epidemic would not end this way. Our entire team of organizers, managers, marketers with hope followed the news from different countries and from the World Health Organization. And, although it’s one month before the event, having weighed all the risks, we make this decision with a huge sense of frustration.
We really hope that all of you - players, coaches, referees, volunteers, partners and employees - will be able to take part in the Tallinn Cup next year from July 1st to July 4th, 2021.
All registered teams can choose whether they want to transfer the paid Registration fee to the next year's tournament in order to keep a place in Tallinn Cup 2021 and get an additional discount on accommodation or if they want to refund it. All registered teams will receive additional information from us about this procedure. For administrative reasons, we need this information from the teams until June 20th. If we do not receive a response from you before this date, there will be no refund.
